We recommend a minimum of 50 video ratings. Depending on your competition you may need to go as high as 1,000.
If you receive enough video ratings in your video's category youtube will grant you video a honor for Top Rated for the day, week, month or all time. Video ratings and video favorites play the biggest roll in your video's ranking.
